All Doctors work closely with the rest
of the primary care team and regular
meetings are held. We hope to provide a
personal but comprehensive primary
health care system. We believe in
continuity of care for all members of
the family from babies to the elderly,
including care of the dying at home. We
think that investigation and treatment
are best undertaken by the GP if
possible, and use made of specialist
hospital departments only when
necessary. We are fortunate in being
close to Guys and St Thomas' hospitals
that have excellent facilities. By
maintaining close links and referring
when appropriate, we believe that the
best possible service will be available
for you.
We work closely with our primary care
organisation and local practice based
commissioning group (Bermondesy and
Rotherhithe PBC consortium). We help
train medical students from our local
medical schools (Kings College London
and university College London) and also
train GP registrars, (doctors very close
to completing their training for general
practice), in association with the
London deanery. We have trained practice
nurses and nurse practitioners in the
past. In 2007 we established a patient
forum and held our first open day.
